About This Role
This leadership role involves guiding financial strategy and operations, including planning, reporting, and compliance. The Vice President of Finance will translate complex financial information into clear decisions, applying sound judgment across various accounting environments relevant to the organization.
Responsibilities
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, treasury management, investment management, and financial operations
- Oversee financial reporting, financial statement preparation, profit and loss analysis, account analysis, and financial report writing and interpretation
- Manage corporate accounting, general ledger accounting and reconciliation, accrual accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Lead risk analysis, risk management, compliance management, regulatory reporting, and accounting systems; apply relevant GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and ASC 606 requirements
- Develop financial and projection models; use data analytics tools and Excel data analysis to guide revenue, cost, cash flow, and business development decisions
Requirements
- Demonstrated accounting and finance experience, financial management, finance directorship, and finance team leadership
- Knowledge of financial accounting, technical accounting, corporate and cost accounting, fiscal management, cost control, revenue management, and financial planning
- Ability to interpret financial concepts, markets, regulations, and industry requirements; experience with financial software and accounting systems
- Strong financial acumen, leadership, strategic and technical proficiency, financial analysis, forecasting, and financial model development
- Experience in non-profit or governmental accounting, financial services, or investment is valuable; familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory reporting is preferred
