About This Role
This Vice President of Finance role leads the company's financial operations and drives sustainable growth. The position oversees all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial planning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of fiscal responsibility and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing growth, risk management, and operational efficiency
- Oversee all accounting functions, including corporate accounting, governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, and technical accounting practices
- Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow analyses, and regulatory reports in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards
- Direct treasury management activities including cash flow analysis, investment management, banking relationships, and cost control initiatives to optimize fiscal health
- Supervise budgeting processes and financial projection model development to support strategic planning and decision-making across departments
- Conduct risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies related to financial markets, industry regulations, and internal controls to safeguard organizational assets
- Lead the finance team in leveraging data analytics tools for enhanced financial analysis, account reconciliation, cost accounting, and account analysis to improve operational insights
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives such as business development opportunities, industry expansion plans, and compliance management efforts
Requirements
- Proven experience in finance leadership roles with extensive background in financial management within complex organizations
- Experience in both public accounting and industry-specific finance is highly desirable
- Deep understanding of accounting systems and software solutions with proficiency in Excel data analysis and financial software platforms
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and industry-specific financial regulations
- Expertise in corporate finance, cost management, risk analysis, forecasting models, budget development, and strategic planning
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement
- Excellent analytical skills combined with technical proficiency in data analytics tools for detailed financial report writing and interpretation
- Exceptional communication skills to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to stakeholders at all levels
