Vice President, General Partner Accounting | CA or NYC | Investment Management
A leading alternative investment firm is seeking a senior accounting and finance professional to support complex investment vehicles, fund operations, and strategic finance initiatives. This individual will work closely with investment, finance, legal, and operations teams while helping oversee key accounting, reporting, and capital management functions. The role offers broad exposure across fund structures, valuations, and operational strategy within a highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting and operational activities across investment vehicles and related entities
- Support capital planning, cash management, and distribution processes
- Partner with internal stakeholders on investment transactions and structuring initiatives
- Review financial reporting, valuations, and investor-related deliverables
- Manage relationships with external service providers
- Drive process improvement, automation, and reporting enhancements
- Support strategic projects across finance and operations
Ideal Background
- 10+ years of accounting, finance, or fund operations experience within alternative investments
- Strong understanding of investment fund structures and financial reporting
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders and service providers
- Background in private markets, asset management, or investment management environments preferred
