Vice President Finance

About This Role

This finance executive role leads the company's accounting and finance function, strengthening financial reporting, improving business performance visibility, modernizing systems, and supporting future growth initiatives. The position reports to the CEO and partners closely with the private equity sponsor, suiting a hands-on, commercially oriented finance executive.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning
• Improve visibility into project profitability, labor utilization, margins, cash flow, and critical operating metrics
• Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, reporting capabilities, and the finance organization
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of financial systems and technology to support scalability
• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO, operating leadership, and private equity sponsor
• Support acquisition analysis, financial due diligence, and integration of acquired businesses
• Lead and develop the existing finance team while identifying opportunities to enhance capabilities

Requirements

• Senior finance leadership experience as a CFO, VP Finance, Head of Finance, Corporate Controller, or divisional finance leader
• Strong accounting foundation
• Experience in project-based businesses, ideally engineering, construction-related services, consulting, or adjacent B2B professional services
• Knowledge of project accounting, revenue recognition, profitability analysis, and financial reporting
• Experience building scalable finance processes, reporting tools, and systems
• Hands-on, collaborative leadership style, with the ability to operate strategically and tactically

Nice to have:

• CPA and/or public accounting experience
• Exposure to private equity, M&A, or acquisition integration
