Vendor Manager

About This Role

This vendor manager role contributes to the Green Meadows program, focusing on developing, managing, and optimizing relationships with strategic technology and business service providers. The position ensures vendors deliver contracted services, meet performance expectations, align with organizational objectives, and provide maximum value to the business. The Vendor Management Manager serves as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers, overseeing vendor governance, contract compliance, performance management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in planning, executing, and maintaining a project plan is critical, along with some technical competency and the ability to work with a geographically diverse team, build client and vendor relationships, and provide innovative thought leadership.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a vendor manager to the Green Meadows program
• Develop, manage, and optimize relationships with strategic technology and business service providers
• Ensure vendors deliver contracted services and meet performance expectations
• Align vendor services with organizational objectives and provide maximum value to the business
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Oversee vendor governance, contract compliance, performance management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Plan, execute, and maintain project plans
• Quickly gain understanding of the components of the Green Meadows platform to best understand current and future vendors
• Facilitate work prioritization based on business and technology needs
• Partner with and influence individuals at multiple organizational levels
• Bring flawless execution and results in a role of organizational navigator and collaborator
• Understand a complex and global systems environment
• Effectively multi-task and manage time
• Work independently as well as within a team environment
• Improve support processes and customer experience

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in project/vendor management in the financial services industry
• Some experience in working on large, technical program portfolios
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of basic investment terms and practices is desirable
• Familiarity with ITIL framework
• Financial systems knowledge
• Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Customer focus and dedication to customer satisfaction

• Experience in resource and vendor management
• Experience in resource planning and management
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Project management credential (PMP) preferred
