Vendor Manager

About This Role

Managing the administrative and financial lifecycle of vendor contracts is the core of this role, specifically across Financial Systems and Enterprise Applications. The Vendor Manager will oversee various financial and contractual processes, identify cost optimization opportunities, and drive process improvements. This freelance engagement is for six months.

Responsibilities

• Process and track Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts in line with finance policies
• Monitor vendor spend, invoices, budget utilization, and monthly accruals with FP&A
• Maintain an accurate, centralized repository of contracts, SOWs, and amendments
• Track contract expirations and coordinate renewals 60–90 days in advance
• Develop dashboards covering vendor spend, PO utilization, invoices, renewals, and KPIs
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, vendors, and internal contract owners to resolve operational issues
• Advise senior leaders, including VP-level stakeholders, on vendor performance, contract optimization, cost efficiency, and procurement strategies
• Ensure audit readiness, adherence to internal policies, and continuous process improvement

Requirements

• 5–8 years in vendor management, procurement, IT financial operations, or contract administration
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, Ivalua, Conga, or similar platforms
• Strong Excel and AI-enabled reporting skills
• Understanding of budget tracking, invoice reconciliation, two-way/three-way matching, and accruals
• Experience managing contract repositories, renewals, spend dashboards, and vendor KPIs
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with high attention to detail
