Vendor Manager

About This Role

This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape and embed Gallagher's technology vendor management framework. The Vendor Manager will strengthen how the company manages its technology vendor relationships, bringing greater visibility of vendor performance, commercial value, and risk. It suits a professional who can help make informed decisions, get more from technology partnerships, and build a consistent approach across the Digital Business & Technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an accurate technology vendor register
• Establish vendor KPIs, scorecards, and performance reporting
• Lead regular vendor performance reviews and governance activities
• Monitor contract obligations, risks, service levels, and upcoming renewals
• Identify opportunities to improve vendor performance, value, and accountability
• Provide insights to support sourcing, vendor selection, and renewal decisions
• Build effective relationships with technology leaders, Procurement, and key vendors
• Drive a consistent, practical approach to vendor management across the business

Requirements

• Experience in vendor management, supplier relationship management, IT procurement, or technology operations, ideally within a medium to large organisation
• Experience managing technology vendors across areas such as SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, or managed services
• Strong commercial acumen and confidence interpreting contracts, pricing, and service agreements
• Experience using KPIs, reporting, or performance frameworks to drive improvement
• Analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to challenge the status quo constructively
