Vendor Manager

About This Role

This Vendor Manager role is key to developing strategic partnerships within one of Europe's largest IT service providers. The role involves collaborating with leading IT vendors, service partners, marketing, sales, and technical specialists to translate market developments and commercial opportunities into business plans and growth trajectories. You will be part of the Portfolio & Partnerships team, focusing on strengthening vendor and partner relationships and developing distinctive propositions.

Responsibilities

• Develop joint business plans and growth strategies with vendors
• Ensure alignment of objectives between vendors and Bechtle, translating them into concrete commercial initiatives
• Act as the connecting link between vendors, sales, marketing, proposition specialists, and management
• Analyze results, report progress, and adjust where necessary to achieve joint objectives
• Identify market developments, commercial opportunities, and new propositions that contribute to revenue and margin targets
• Optimize partner and vendor programs, including incentives, investments, and joint marketing activities
• Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns that lead to increased visibility, customer interaction, and pipeline development
• Organize business reviews, quarterly meetings, and strategic sessions with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Represent Bechtle at vendor events, partner days, and industry gatherings

Requirements

• Completed HBO education supplemented with a minimum of 5 years of experience within the IT sector, for example in a role such as Vendor Management, Partner Management, Business Development, Sales, Product Management, or Marketing
• Knowledge of the IT landscape and a good understanding of the role of vendors, partners, and distributors
• Experience with stakeholder management and building sustainable business relationships
• A proactive and entrepreneurial attitude to identify opportunities and translate them into actions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to bring different interests together
