Vehicle Mechanical Evaluation Engineer（BSR/NVH/Chassis/Powertrain）

• Vehicle Quality & Function Problem Analysis and Resolution
• Lead and conduct in-depth analysis and resolution of vehicle quality and function-related issues across development, production, and post-production phases.
• Identify root causes through systematic problem-solving methodologies and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement effective countermeasures.
• Track issue resolution progress and ensure timely closure of quality concerns in line with project milestones.
• Team Speaker (if assigned)
• Lead and coordinate the evaluation team, ensuring clear role allocation and efficient collaboration.
• Plan and manage variant vehicle availability according to project timelines.
• Consolidate evaluation results and generate summary reports for stakeholders and management.
• Act as the communication bridge between the evaluation team and management.
• Body & Comfort Evaluation
• Evaluate and analyze body geometry issues, including fit, finish, dimensional accuracy, and assembly quality.
• Utilize Gap Gun for measurement and optimize measurement procedures.
• Assess interior/exterior surface quality, tactile feel, and operational comfort.
• Familiar with DCS interface setup and troubleshooting.
• Watertightness Testing and Analysis
• Plan, execute, and analyze watertightness tests to ensure vehicle sealing performance meets design and quality requirements.
• Operate watertightness test equipment and troubleshoot any deviations or failures.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to address water ingress issues and implement corrective actions.
• BSR (Buzz, Squeak & Rattle) Evaluation
• Perform acoustics analysis, including abnormal noise types, mechanical vibration, and abnormal noise analysis.
• Identify and resolve BSR-related concerns through systematic evaluation methods.
• Collaborate with design teams to improve vehicle acoustic quality.
• NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) Evaluation
• Conduct NVH testing using PAK/LMS/Artemis systems.
• Perform basic subjective NVH evaluations to assess acoustic and vibration performance.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams for NVH optimization.
• Chassis Evaluation
• Evaluate chassis and driving dynamics systems for BMW chassis.
• Assess vehicle dynamics, ride comfort, and handling performance.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams for chassis tuning and optimization.
• Powertrain Evaluation
• Evaluate BEV powertrain systems for BMW BEV powertrain.
• Assess electric drive units, battery integration, and thermal management.
• Support powertrain calibration and validation activities.
• Reporting and Communication
• Consolidate evaluation results and generate summary reports for stakeholders and management.
• Present key findings, risks, and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure all evaluation activities comply with safety regulations and protocols. Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry in one or more of the following areas: Body & Interior/Exterior, Operation & Maintenance, Watertightness, BSR, NVH.
• Working experience in BMW/Mini projects is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficiency in both Chinese and English.
• At least 3 years of driving experience with a valid driving license.
• Advanced driving certification (e.g., Maxxis PG C, BMW B1, Guangde S2) is a plus.
• At least 3 years of experience in vehicle quality/function problem analysis and resolution.
• Knowledge of total vehicle structure, configuration, manufacturing process, quality control, functional testing, and performance evaluation.
• Capable of complying with all applicable safety regulations and protocols.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Good cross-functional communication skills.
