As a VDC Coordinator working in our Innovation team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in inventing the future of design and construction by supporting and enabling project teams to thrive with state-of-the-art BIM/VDC tools and methods. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion, you will explore and support project growth and execution through BIM (Building Information Modelling) and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction).

What you will do :

  • Produce and manage VDC and contract documentation.

Assist and support the project team in the implementation and use of BIM/VDC processes;

  • Develop protocols for key elements such as communication, data exchange, and the 3D workspace;
  • Collaborate with designers and trades to draft and review BIM management plans and BIM execution plans;
  • Participate in creating project-specific terminology for contracts and tenders as part of the BIM bidding process;
  • Train your team in the use of Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud;
  • Creatively design 4D simulations that allow users to experience their project in virtual and augmented reality;

This role could be for you if you have :

• A bachelor's degree in construction engineering or civil engineering, or a technical diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience;• At least 1-3 years of BIM experience in the construction or architectural industry.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of BIM experience in the construction or architecture industry.

  • Mastery of ISO 19650 and experience working with BIM software, including REVIT, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infraworks, Tekla, 3Ds Max, Autodesk Cloud Construction suite, will be considered an asset.

  • Good technical knowledge of building mechanics and construction
