VAT Compliance Analyst

About This Role

This role involves supporting VAT compliance across various jurisdictions, focusing on indirect tax registrations, process improvements, and month-end reconciliations. The position suits a candidate with a background in accounting, finance, or business, who can collaborate with internal teams and manage indirect tax projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with indirect tax registrations across various jurisdictions
• Assist in the documentation and improvement of indirect tax processes
• Assist in month-end indirect tax account reconciliations
• Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis
• Provide indirect tax compliance support (prepare VAT compliance returns) and collaborate with colleagues throughout the business including Accounting, A/P, A/R, and Finance
• Participate in cross-functional projects
• Manage indirect projects on compliance, controllership and tech debt
• Prepare VAT compliance reports and returns
• Perform VAT reconciliations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
• Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department

Nice to have:

• 2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
