About the role
The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for Vascular Neurologist in South Florida.
The incumbent will be appointed at the rank of non-tenure earning Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track in the Cerebrovascular Division, Department of Neurology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. The incumbent will be involved in the clinical care of patients at the UHealth clinics, University of Miami Hospital, and Jackson Health System. He/she will provide 24 weeks of inpatient service at Jackson South Medical Center, Jackson West Medical Center, and Jackson Memorial Hospital, and UHealth Tower.
Essential Job Functions:
- Train/mentor physicians and staff.
- Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences.
- Develop a research program in Cerebrovascular Diseases.
- Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards
- Participate in research projects.
- Participate in educational and mentorship activities of the Cerebrovascular Division.
Desired Qualifications:
- MD/DO degree required.
- Cerebrovascular Fellowship is also required.
- Bboard certification/eligible in Neurology.
- Eligible for Florida Medical License.
- Strong clinical and research background in Cerebrovascular Diseases.
