Valuation Surveyor Senior Surveyor

About This Role

This is an opportunity for an MRICS-qualified surveyor with bank panel experience to apply their technical expertise, local market knowledge, and understanding of RICS Red Book standards within a supportive and collaborative business. As a Residential Valuation Surveyor, you will undertake residential property valuations across the Midlands, working to lender requirements and established professional standards. You will play an important role in delivering accurate, independent, and evidence-based valuations to support mortgage lending decisions.

Responsibilities

• Undertake residential and commercial property valuations on behalf of banks, mortgage lenders, and financial institutions in accordance with their instructions and requirements
• Ensure valuations are undertaken in accordance with the RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book), where applicable, alongside relevant lender instructions and professional requirements
• Carry out residential property inspections, assessing condition, location, accommodation, construction, and other factors that may influence market value
• Prepare clear, accurate, and well-supported valuation reports within agreed timescales and in line with lender requirements
• Research comparable evidence, assess local property market conditions, and apply sound professional judgement to reach robust valuation conclusions
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all work meets the required standards of quality, accuracy, and professional integrity
• Manage valuation instructions efficiently, prioritising deadlines, and maintaining a consistent level of service
• Liaise professionally with lenders, clients, colleagues, and other relevant parties throughout the valuation process

Requirements

• 2+ years MRICS qualification and experience in residential property valuation
• Previous experience undertaking mortgage valuations for banks, building societies, or other financial institutions through lender panel instructions
• Strong working knowledge of RICS Red Book standards and their application to residential valuation work
• Good understanding of mortgage lending requirements, valuation reporting, and the importance of accurate, evidence-based assessments
• Strong knowledge of residential property markets across the Midlands
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and report-writing skills, with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to manage a varied caseload, meet deadlines, and work independently while contributing to a wider team
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with a professional approach to client and lender relationships
• Confidence using relevant IT systems and valuation software
• Full, valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with the flexibility to travel across the region
