About the role

Position Summary The Infotainment, Connectivity, Access & Security (ICAS) Performance Engineer is responsible for leading the design, integration, benchmarking, validation, and performance assessment of Infotainment, Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Remote Start, Security, Cockpit Personalization, Accessory Charging, and Vehicle Modes features. The role ensures that customer expectations, quality targets, and program requirements are achieved throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and validation of ICAS features with a strong focus on customer interaction, usability, and quality.
  • Translate Voice of Customer (VoC) inputs into measurable functional objectives and vehicle requirements.
  • Define feature performance targets through competitive benchmarking and customer research.
  • Develop and execute DVP&R activities, validation plans, and test procedures.
  • Support vehicle integration, issue triage, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Own feature performance assessments and ensure readiness at key program milestones.
  • Participate in vehicle evaluations, ride & drives, customer clinics, technology reviews, and launch support activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams including Vehicle Synthesis, Electrical Engineering, Software, Validation, Cybersecurity, Program Management, and Product Planning.
  • Support vehicle verification and homologation activities to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement through competitive analysis and industry trend monitoring.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in automotive product development, integration, validation, or systems engineering.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical/electronic architectures and connected vehicle technologies.
  • Experience with CAN tools, diagnostics, data analysis, and issue resolution processes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global development environment.
