About This Role
This role involves creating and implementing original digital design concepts for the Adelaide University's digital platforms. The UX Designer is responsible for ensuring brand consistency, improving user experience, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute original digital design concepts for Adelaide University digital platforms
- Prepare mock-ups and visual examples to communicate design ideas
- Ensure all digital materials are consistent with Adelaide University branding and standards
- Design and develop user interface layouts and templates for standard and custom websites and forms
- Define visual elements including typography, iconography, style sheets, colour and information design
- Provide design layout, illustrative, aesthetic and photo art direction to meet stakeholder requirements
- Conceptualise prototypes, wireframes and user experiences based on research and user requirements
- Develop and document standards and guidelines for visual branding and web style guides
- Collaborate with developers, designers, content specialists and external suppliers to deliver project outcomes
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications or experience in digital design, user interface design, user experience design, visual design or a related discipline
Nice to have:
- Demonstrated experience in digital design, user interface and user experience for web and digital platforms
- Experience developing and implementing digital branding and style guidelines
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders and deliver project outcomes
- Demonstrated ability in strong communication, negotiation and project management skills
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritise work demands and respond to urgent requests
- Proven ability to work effectively within a complex and changing environment, building proactive partnerships with external stakeholders
