Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Unix System Administrator to join our IT team based in Lisbon.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for operational availability, performance, and security of Unix infrastructure across on-prem and cloud.
- Administer and maintain Unix-based systems, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Implement and manage system security policies and permissions to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
- Optimize system performance through tuning and resource management.
- Develop and maintain documentation and provide technical support.
- Plan and execute system migrations and upgrades.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on Unix administration in operations/run.
- Fluent in English; technical English required.
- Rigorous, service-oriented, autonomous, strong team player.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills (written/verbal).
