Union - Credit and Collections Associate

About This Role

Working as a Union - Credit and Collections Associate involves performing accounts receivable and collections functions for large and complex accounts within a branch or business unit. This role is responsible for managing customer accounts and accounts receivable portfolios, with the aim of achieving cash flow and operating expense goals set by Financial Services leadership.

Responsibilities

• Work with customer accounts payable staff to determine payment/invoice discrepancies
• Monitor past due invoices and make collections calls
• Research and resolve customer inquiries
• Work with the sales team for dispute resolution and collection of past due customers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years of collections experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of UCC regulations and lien laws
• Understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and GAAP
• Proficiency with financial and accounting software applications, including HighRadius and Oracle
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Customer service oriented with a commitment to delivering exceptional support
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing priorities and deadlines
• Federal and state regulations

Nice to have:

• Experience within the commercial construction or electrical contractor industries
• Experience with VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
