Ultrasound Technician

We're now hiring a Part-timeUltrasound Technician to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare examination room, equipment, and instruments per patient needs
• Perform ultrasound exams. We need you to have experience in General Ultrasound & vascular studies.
• Our most common studies are: Abdomen, Pelvis (Male & Female), Renal, Small Parts (Thyroid, Breast, Testicular, Abd. Wall), and Venous Doppler & Carotid exams.
• Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusion
• Maintaining ultrasound equipment and sterilizing the room in which the procedure takes place
• Evaluating the images for quality and interpreting the image capture
• Presenting images and preliminary findings to physicians & sending to radiologist.
• Maintaining patient records and adding medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program
• No RDMS certificate required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
• 1 year of clinical experience as a medical assistant
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to perform patient assessments
• Familiar with medical terminology
• Working knowledge of taking vital signs, chief complaints, EKG, venipuncture, injections, and more
• Fluent in Spanish speaking is a must
• Must be willing to work weekends as well

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
