Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our GYN team. The successful candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, primarily focusing on maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), while ensuring accurate imaging and compassionate patient care. This role requires a strong foundation in medical imaging, anatomy, and physiology, combined with excellent communication skills to support our diverse patient population.

Duties

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including obstetric, gynecologic, and other specialized imaging as required.
• Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures clearly and ensuring their comfort throughout the process.
• Operate ultrasound equipment with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
• Analyze images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary for optimal diagnostic results.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret findings and provide detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and imaging results in compliance with medical standards.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized according to safety protocols.
• Stay current with advancements in sonography technology, maternal-fetal medicine practices, and related medical fields.

Experience

• Proven experience in performing diagnostic sonography with a focus on maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn imaging preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound procedures.
• Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and diagnostic radiology principles.
• Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in sensitive situations.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control standards essential for maintaining a sterile environment during procedures.
