Ultrasound Technician

About This Role

An Ultrasound Technician who excels in this role provides quality ultrasound studies for interpretation by the radiologist in the diagnosis of patient illness. This role is part of a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier.

Responsibilities

• Receive patient, explain method of procedure and make sure patient is comfortable
• Provide patient services to all ages using imaging modalities
• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices
• Maintain equipment and supplies and organize work area
• Keep accurate records, help with scheduling of the ultrasound and keep patient flow smooth

Requirements

• Graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography or radiology program required
• One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited DMS program or ARRT/DMS certification
• BLS required within 30 days of hire
