UI Designer

About This Role

This role is for a Visual Designer to join Wildlife's Game Art Team in São Paulo, focusing on user interface and user experience design for mobile games. The position suits a curious and proactive individual who enjoys solving problems in a fast-paced, growing business.

Responsibilities

• Create the design of all elements related to user interfaces, including menus, illustrations, HUD, pop-ups, key visuals, UI style guides, and Design System
• Develop the UX of games, including prototypes, wireframes, and mockups
• Work closely with Art Directors to help establish a cohesive look for games
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to deliver user-friendly experiences
• Create and implement optimized design assets with an understanding of how players experience content while working under tight deadlines
• Work on different projects and use skills to solve problems related to Visual Design and connected areas
• Use excellent communication skills in a collaborative and diverse work environment
• Support additional designs for game-specific branding inside and outside the game

Requirements

• Experience as a Visual Designer, UI Artist, UX/UI Designer, or similar role
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• A resume and an online portfolio showcasing your work
• Availability for hybrid work

Nice to have:

• Experience working in games, especially mobile titles
• Affinity with First-Person Shooter games
• Knowledge of at least one game engine (especially Unity) and understanding of the game development pipeline
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics, illustration, and 3D asset creation
• Knowledge and taste in composition, colors, layout, and typography to create high-quality design assets such as features, menus, buttons, icons, etc.
• Experience building and maintaining Design Systems, Style Guides, and Libraries
• Self-motivated team player who proactively seeks feedback and shares knowledge
• Multidisciplinary approach to visual design, with illustration and UX design skills
• Online portfolio with proven experience designing interfaces for products on mobile platforms
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and curiosity to learn new software
• Up to date with screen design tools, such as Figma
