UI Designer

About This Role

This role is for a detail-oriented UI Designer to join a design team and craft beautiful, emotionally resonant digital experiences. The designer will primarily focus on creating websites and experiences for new and existing clients, with some additional graphic design work for marketing materials. The role also involves facilitating workshops to guide project direction and explore ideas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all creative production is of the highest quality
• Effectively communicate design ideas and rationale both verbally and visually to internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to a team culture of collaboration, idea sharing, and learning
• Proactively communicate with project managers to keep management and clients informed
• Maintain strong working relationships with team members and clients
• Be accountable for the creation and delivery of design work from conception through to production, involving research, brainstorming, and concept creation from initial brief to final sign-off

Requirements

• Strong portfolio of work that demonstrates understanding of the "why" behind designs
• Number of years of experience in web design specifically
• Deep fluency in Figma, including component libraries, prototyping, styles, variables, and team workflows
• Excellent written and spoken English, with an emphasis on writing with clarity
• Ability to work autonomously to tight deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
• Experience working closely with developers and building design systems that translate cleanly to code
• Grounded, collaborative mindset
• Experience running design workshops either internally or externally
• London-based or willing to commute into London ad-hoc for internal collaboration days, client presentations, and team in-office days
• Great sense of design restraint, rhythm, and balance
