Trucking Planner

About This Role

This role involves planning and coordinating trucking and delivery operations, ensuring productivity, timeliness, and safety. The planner is responsible for administrative tasks, driver support, and maintaining vehicle and driver documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders and job orders related to trucking and delivery
• Plan and coordinate operational and administrative activities
• Submit driver allowances to the Finance Department
• Create recap of fleet allocation and trucking/delivery production
• Ensure the fleet operates productively, on time, accurately, and safely during transit
• Ensure vehicle documents and driver's licenses are active
• Ensure fleet equipment and tools are complete and in good condition
• Coordinate effectively with other departments and divisions
• Perform controlling and monitoring of all operational processes
• Conduct regular surveys at loading and unloading locations with the Marketing and Operations teams to anticipate obstacles during loading and unloading
• Be on call 24 hours if needed
• Conduct investigations in case of claims for goods transported
• Conduct regular surveys to evaluate the validity of operational cost calculations in the field
• Be responsible for evaluating and analyzing utilization, turnover, maintenance, traffic violation, and receipt collection reports
• Perform other related duties as assigned
