About This Role
This job involves carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on head trucks and chassis to ensure the units are always in prime condition. The role suits a mechanic with experience in commercial vehicles and a strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on head truck and chassis units according to schedule
- Conduct routine inspections, damage diagnosis, and vehicle repairs to ensure units are always in prime condition
- Replace spare parts in accordance with technical standards and work safety procedures
- Compile and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and inform the operational team of their implementation
- Manage data on maintenance history, repairs, spare part replacements, and maintenance costs for each unit
- Submit Purchase Requests (PR) for spare part needs according to the maintenance budget
- Ensure minimum stock availability of spare parts and conduct inventory of workshop equipment
- Coordinate with the Operations, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to support the smooth operation of the fleet
- Support the technical inspection process of vehicles in the driver recruitment process if needed
Requirements
- Minimum D3 education in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or other relevant technical major
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanic, especially on commercial vehicles/trucks is a plus
- Understand preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and vehicle troubleshooting processes
- Able to effectively diagnose damage and repair vehicles
- Understand the use and management of spare parts and maintenance inventory
- Accustomed to creating maintenance reports and vehicle maintenance administration
- Understand Occupational Safety and Health (K3/HSE) standards
- Able to operate basic computer (Microsoft Office)
- Possess good communication skills, be disciplined, meticulous, and able to work individually or in a team
