Trucking Dispatcher

About This Role

This position is responsible for assigning routes and dispatching drivers to optimize the use of facilities, equipment, and drivers. It suits a candidate with experience in the trucking field who can manage crises and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery arrangements and transportation routes
• Assign and dispatch drivers for pick up and delivery of shipments
• Communicate with drivers and the operation team on issues that arise
• Maintain fleet equipment to operate within guidelines
• Review escalated discrepancies and issues in daily operations
• Collaborate with various team members to ensure customer satisfaction is a top priority
• Assume other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience in the trucking field
• Team leadership and project management experience
• Excellent crisis management skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Strong ability to multi-task and to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient computer skills and professional email etiquette
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• High school graduate required
• Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin) is required
