Trucking Coordinator

About This Role

This role is for a Trucking Coordinator who will be the driving force behind the daily operation, directly managing and coaching drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and on-schedule transport. It is a dynamic and varied leadership position within the local management team, focusing on people management rather than transport planning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate the deployment of trucks and drivers (operational support, not transport planning)
• Ensure a safe working environment, with safety as the number one priority
• Directly manage the team of drivers and serve as their primary point of contact
• Conduct various discussions with drivers, including recruitment, work situation, and absence management
• Be responsible for creating schedules and ensuring adequate staffing
• Plan and coordinate regular maintenance for the tractors

Requirements

• MBO-4 (vocational education level 4) work and thinking level, with demonstrable leadership experience, preferably within transport and logistics
• Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to any situation
• Stress-resistant, able to multitask, accurate, and results-oriented, with an eye for cost control and process improvement
• Able to determine your own daily priorities and work independently

Important Details

• Schedule: On-call duty for emergencies during evenings and weekends according to a consignment service roster
