About the role
Role Overview: Responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to deliver products to customer locations, including loading and unloading by hand or other means, performing routine vehicle inspections, and adhering to DOT/FMSCA regulations. May also handle trailer movements with yard switchers, fuel, and wash equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Perform backhaul pickups from vendors
- Load and unload products manually or using equipment
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections
- Move trailers and equipment as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma required
- At least 1 year of driving experience
- Working knowledge of operating commercial vehicles
- Ability to work with moderate supervision and follow standard procedures
Physical & Other Requirements: Must be able to lift/move up to 100 pounds frequently, push/pull heavy loads, sit for long periods, and climb in/out of trucks regularly. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks is essential.
