About This Role
Managing daily dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of bulk sand and rock materials is the core of this role. The ideal candidate is a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who can develop good working relationships with customers and internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily dispatch operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of bulk sand and rock materials
- Input delivery orders into the system
- Review orders to identify priority for deliveries
- Arrange schedules for drivers
- Assign vehicles, driver routes, destinations, and timelines
- Dispatch drivers in a systematic order to ensure there is no overlapping or backtracking of routes
- Communicate effectively with drivers via radio and phone systems to provide instructions and updates
- Coordinate with drivers to resolve any issues, problems, or concerns that arise during delivery
- Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activities
- Utilize transportation management software to optimize deliveries
- Provide assistance to customers or direct them to the appropriate person/department for additional assistance
- Complete departmental reporting as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in dispatching or logistics coordination is preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively
- Motivated self-starter
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to learn and adapt to new technologies and ways of working
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Dispatch experience preferred
- Bilingual

- Schedule: Monday to Friday 3:45 am – 12:00 pm; Alternating Saturdays 5:30 am - 12:00 pm
