Trial Attorney

About This Role

This role is for an experienced personal injury litigation attorney to join a growing practice of plaintiff's lawyers and supporting staff. The attorney will handle motor vehicle liability and automobile accident cases, representing plaintiffs in Virginia. Responsibilities will focus on litigating cases, including trial preparation and trial, without generally handling pre-suit matters.

Responsibilities

• Handle litigation cases daily
• Draft and file litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda
• Guide plaintiff clients through the case process
• Interact with expert witnesses, including conferences, drafting expert reports, and affidavits
• Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances

Requirements

• Law degree (J.D. / JD / Juris Doctor) from a fully accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar Association in VA
• Ideally 3+ years of Personal Injury / auto liability / MVA experience
• Ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
