Ardor Health Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel SNF assignment in Metropolis, Illinois .
This is a great opportunity for an OT who enjoys working with an adult and geriatric rehabilitation population , helping patients regain the skills and independence needed to safely return to everyday activities.
Position Highlights
- Skilled Nursing / Rehabilitation setting
- Adult and geriatric population
- Short-term rehabilitation and longer-term skilled needs
- Interdisciplinary rehab environment
- Focus on functional independence and quality of life
Responsibilities
- Complete OT evaluations and reassessments
- Develop individualized plans of care
- ADL and self-care retraining
- Upper-extremity strengthening, ROM and coordination
- Functional mobility and transfer training
- Balance and endurance activities
- Adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies
- Cognitive and safety interventions as appropriate
- Patient and caregiver education
- Discharge planning
- Collaborate with PT, COTA, nursing and the interdisciplinary team
- Complete timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Illinois OT license or ability to obtain prior to start
- Current BLS
- SNF/geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred

This would be a great fit if you enjoy helping patients regain independence with ADLs, mobility, strengthening, transfers and other functional skills following illness, injury, surgery or hospitalization.
Metropolis is in Southern Illinois right along the Ohio River and just across from the Paducah, KY area, so you have easy access to both Illinois and Kentucky. You’ll also be close to Shawnee National Forest and some beautiful Southern Illinois outdoor recreation.
