Travel Respiratory Therapist

About This Role

This travel job is for a Respiratory Therapist to work night shifts in a short-term acute care facility. The role involves working with both adult and pediatric patients in the ICU and requires flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• Work weekends and holidays as required
• Float as needed within scope to meet facility needs and between like units
• Work with adults and children in the ICU

Requirements

• 2 years of experience
• Weekend requirement: Yes, every other
• On-call requirement: No
• Locals accepted: No - 50-mile radius rule from the main campus (Cape Fear Valley Medical Center)
• Pending License accepted: No
• Must be comfortable working with adults and children in ICU
• Must have 4 days or less of RTO

Important Details

• Start Date: 11/23/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12 hours, nights (18:00-06:00)
• RTO Restrictions: per manager's discretion; only 4 days allowed of RTO and no holidays; no holiday RTO will be accepted
• Guaranteed Hours: call off policy of 2 shifts per 13-week assignment; once that is met all hours based on contracted shifts are guaranteed
• Return Staff Policy: Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
• System has a 2 contract limit (can only extend once) then has to be gone for 6 months to return
• Scrub Color: Solid Black or Black and White
• Charting: Epic
