Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility located in a diverse acute care setting. The role involves providing specialized patient care on a Telemetry unit, with a focus on patients with cardiac and other monitored conditions. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment with a team of dedicated professionals, serving a patient population with a variety of diagnoses and clinical needs.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (0700-1900 & 1900-0700), minimum of 48 hours per week.

Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association); minimum 1 year experience in medical-surgical or telemetry (acute care) settings; licensed to submit; candidates must have at least 0 years of experience; local candidates living within 80 miles of the facility.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with TURPS- CBI, critical access or Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience, limited onsite resources (no IV team, RT oversees entire hospital), confident in IV starts and telemetry interpretation.

Floating: Floating to like units and patients is mandatory.

Orientation: Computer education on day 1 (8 hours), shadowing (4 hours), followed by a 12-hour orientation shift on day 2, with day 3 on their own.

Additional Information: The unit has nurse aids, a hospitalist or intensivist available until 6 pm daily, telemedicine support afterward, and 24/7 ICU respiratory therapist availability. The team utilizes basic tele arrhythmia knowledge, and tele monitors are checked daily. Clinical staff must clock in and out at the facility and note if previously employed here, with a minimum gap of 6 months if so.
