Requirements:
2 Years of PICU experience required. Full COVID vaccine (Moderna, Pfizer, or J&J). BLS, PALS certifications. Experience with titrating drips such as sedation and vasoactive drugs. Ability to float within children's units including L&D, NICU, & Acute Peds.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to PICU patients, including those with congenital heart conditions, respiratory issues, neurosurgery cases, and ventilated patients.
- Administer titratable medications such as sedation and vasoactive drugs with physician orders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including in-house pediatricians, residents, and advanced practice providers, to coordinate patient care.
- Assist with equipment management including vents, Cpap, BiPap, and other RT equipment.
- Float within children's units and cover assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
