Pediatric Oncology / BMT RN – Phoenix Children’s Days or Nights
Location: Phoenix, AZ / Greater Phoenix Area
Setting: Children’s Hospital / Acute Care
Experience Required: 2+ years RN experience
Specialty Experience: Recent Pediatric Chemotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience required
Preferred: Previous children’s hospital experience
Floating
This assignment may float between 4 Phoenix Children’s campuses :
- Main Campus – Phoenix, AZ
- Arrowhead – Glendale, AZ
- Avondale – Avondale, AZ
- East Valley – Gilbert, AZ
Required Certifications / License
- Active Arizona RN license or Compact RN license with multistate privileges
- AHA BLS
- AHA PALS
- APHON Certification
Responsibilities
Provide professional pediatric nursing care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, patient, and family. Care is delivered according to patient age, condition, evidence-based nursing standards, hospital policies, and individualized medical and nursing plans of care.
RTO
Only RTO discussed during the interview will be pre-approved.
Vaccine Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine: Recommended, not required
- Flu vaccine: Required October through April
- Flu exemptions must be submitted and approved by Phoenix Children’s before start
- Anyone declining Flu and/or COVID vaccination must sign a Declination & Masking Protocol agreement and mask throughout respiratory virus season
Recruiter Notes
Strong candidate should have recent hands-on pediatric chemo and BMT experience and be comfortable floating across multiple Phoenix Children’s campuses. APHON, PALS, and BLS are required.
