Job Summary:

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a high-volume trauma center. The role involves providing essential emergency care within a busy hospital environment. The candidate will work nights and be responsible for delivering critical patient care across diverse age groups, including neonates to geriatrics.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3x12 hour nights (19:00-07:30), minimum of 36 hours per week

  • Required Qualifications: Valid California nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course). At least 2.5 years of experience in a large level II trauma center, with large volume ER experience of over 90,000 visits annually. Must have at least 2.5 years in a large level II trauma center.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, strong skills in arterial line management, ventilated patient care, blood product administration, and trauma care.

  • Additional Information: The position involves managing complex emergency cases, utilizing EPIC electronic charting system, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams such as respiratory, radiology, and social services. Orientation includes approximately 8 hours of EPIC training and 4 hours of allied training modules. The candidate will float within the hospital based on census needs.

  • Travel & Certification Requirements: Must have CA license in hand, Nursys verified within 2 weeks. RTO must be pre-approved and presented at time of submission. No holiday RTO guaranteed; holiday RTO will be reviewed later.
