Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and Epic proficiency for a fast-paced cardiac interventional radiology unit.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit setting
- 4x10 hour day shifts, scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:30 PM with exact start time determined upon offer
- On-call requirement
- Potential to float between Florence, Edgewood, and Fort Thomas campuses as needed based on staffing needs
- Procedures include angiograms, venograms, PICC lines, port-a-cath placements, vertebroplasty, GI bleed management, embolization, biliary tube exchange, nephrostomy, IVUS, fistulagram, transjugular biopsy, and IVC filter removal
- Experience with thrombectomy for neuro cases required
- Equipment used includes EKOS, Inari, Penumbra, and Jeti systems
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- ARRT and BLS certification required
- KY license (KBMIRT) required; can be pending upon submittal
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of IR Technologist experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Travel experience highly preferred but not required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Must be able to scrub for procedures
Additional Information
- Scrub for interventional radiology procedures as part of daily responsibilities
- COVID and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only considered
- No nose rings or gauged earrings permitted; fingernails must be natural, less than 1/4 inch, and polish is acceptable
- Scrubs and apparel must be free of any agency or brand logos
- On-site refrigerator and microwave provided; no cafeteria available
- Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted
- Returning staff must have a break of at least 1 year from full-time, part-time, or per diem employment before returning as a traveler
- Holiday coverage is expected
