Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
12-hour night shifts, with weekends scheduled as required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit provides high acuity care for a range of patients, ensuring optimal health outcomes through assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care plans.
Responsibilities

Manage up to 6 patients, typically maintaining a ratio of 1:5.

Monitor and interpret telemetry strips; RN must be able to read and act on information from tele techs.

Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, and Heparin.

Provide care for chest pain, r/o MI, CHF, arrhythmias, and other intermediate care patients.

Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists available in-house 24/7.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current RN license required.

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.

Experience with telemetry and titrating intravenous medications.
