Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist to work overnight as the sole tech responsible for both CT and X-ray in a short-term acute care hospital, requiring 1+ year of experience.

Details

• Short-term acute care teaching hospital with 59 total staff beds
• CT Tech unit covering both CT and X-ray responsibilities overnight
• Sole tech on duty during overnight shifts, 1:1 ratio
• 3x12 hour night shifts, 20:00-08:00
• Weekend overnight shifts required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 20:00-08:00)
• No on-call requirements
• No position floating between units required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Uses GE equipment and PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certifications required
• Compact state license required at time of submission, if applicable
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and region of interest (ROI) measurement preferred
• Experience performing abdomen and pelvis imaging with and/or without contrast
• Experience with head and neck imaging including carotid, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head
• Experience with spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and musculoskeletal trauma
• Experience with chest imaging including vascular chest studies (PE, CTA, aorta)
• Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, and radiation safety
• Peripheral IV starts and venipuncture skills preferred
• Adult acute care and ICU experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Scrubs may be any color
• No parking fees
• Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not submit within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are subject to the local rate rule
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront, as post-offer requests may not be granted
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
