Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for an acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of Cath Lab experience and BLS, ACLS, and RCIS or ARRT certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 304 staffed beds
• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Runs 4-5 labs per day with 2-3 CVTs per lab, averaging 20-25 cases daily
• 4x10 hour Day shifts (7:00 AM-5:30 PM), though hours may extend until procedures are complete
• On-call requirement of one weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun) per 7 weeks plus a call shift and evening shift every week
• No floating between service lines or to sister facilities required
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process) required
• SC license required if applicable
• Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency, not facility)
• Proficient in coronary diagnostic and intervention scrub and monitor duties
• Community hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy
• Additional procedures may include Impella insertion, embolization, IVC filter placement, and vascular studies including thrombolysis/thrombectomy
• Utilizes PACS, Fuji Vidistar, and MAC Lab equipment
• Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on the position
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis; 60-mile radius rule applies for standard travel eligibility
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• Staff may be required to support emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September)
