About This Role
This role involves overseeing the daily operations and scheduling of tanker trucks and their drivers, ensuring efficient and compliant transportation of petroleum products. It suits a manager with strong leadership and organizational skills, experienced in fleet management within the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations and scheduling of tanker trucks and drivers
- Coordinate tanker truck movements, deliveries, loading, and unloading activities
- Monitor vehicle utilization, route planning, fuel consumption, and transportation costs
- Ensure all tanker trucks comply with UAE traffic regulations, transport requirements, and applicable safety standards
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, inspections, registration, and insurance renewals
- Supervise drivers, monitor attendance and performance, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, terminals, and relevant authorities
- Maintain accurate records of trips, delivery documents, vehicle expenses, and operational reports
- Handle transportation issues, delays, breakdowns, and emergency situations
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe handling and transportation procedures for petroleum products
Requirements
- Proven experience in transportation or fleet management, preferably managing tanker trucks in the UAE
- Experience in the oil and gas, petroleum, or fuel transportation industry is highly preferred
- Good knowledge of UAE transport regulations, road safety, and tanker operations
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage drivers, vehicle schedules, maintenance, and operational costs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation or fleet management systems
- A valid UAE driving license
