About This Role
This role involves managing the efficient movement of goods through customer logistics networks to ensure material availability. It suits a logistics professional with a focus on customer service who can prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic, international environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure comprehensive transportation execution in day-to-day operations using state-of-the-art transportation management system
- Realize transportation cost optimization and cost improvement measures to meet customer expectations
- Communicate regularly with customers about transportation status and take on first-level escalations
- Be the first point of contact for team members handling complex transportation setups and process deviations, as well as for teams managing related processes
- Provide onboarding trainings for new colleagues
- Identify and initiate continuous improvement measures
- Drive the performance of supply chain stakeholders (e.g., carriers, warehouses) through regular performance reviews
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in logistics (transportation) and high focus on customer service
- Ability to quickly prioritize during busy periods while communicating in a friendly and solution-oriented way
- Confident in using IT systems
- Strong communication skills in English
- Comfortable working with virtual and international teams
- Interested in the field of logistics and enjoy working in a dynamic, virtual and international environment
