About the role

Position: Japanese Language Expert

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $30 - $65/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Transcribe audio and written materials accurately between Japanese and English.
  • Review and edit transcripts to ensure linguistic and contextual accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality transcription standards.
  • Provide linguistic insights and feedback to improve transcription processes.
  • Meet project deadlines while delivering consistent and polished outputs.
  • Manage multiple transcription tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with team members through written and verbal channels.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese with strong command of English.
  • Strong experience in transcription, translation, or related language services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to transcription accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with transcription tools and digital collaboration platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
