Role Description
The Translator role at AALingoX is a full-time remote position focused on delivering accurate and culturally relevant translations in Indian regional languages. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating documents, marketing copy, scripts, and digital content while maintaining tone, intent, and brand voice. The Translator will review and revise translations for quality, collaborate with project managers and localization specialists, and ensure consistency with style guides and terminology. Additional tasks may involve subtitling and captioning video content, performing basic transcription, and adapting content for different platforms and regional audiences. The role requires meeting deadlines, managing multiple projects, and using translation tools or software as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong bilingual or multilingual proficiency in English and at least one Indian regional language (e.g., Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada), with excellent reading and writing skills.
• Demonstrated experience in professional translation, localization, and adaptation of marketing, web, or media content.
• Ability to produce accurate, clear, and contextually appropriate translations with attention to cultural nuances and regional sensibilities.
• Familiarity with subtitling, captioning, or transcription workflows and tools is highly beneficial.
• Competence in using translation software, CAT tools, or productivity tools, along with strong digital literacy for remote work.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams in a remote environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience with Indian regional content, OTT platforms, publishing, or digital marketing is an advantage.
