Translator

About This Role

This role is primarily responsible for translating conversations, meetings, forms, and policies from one language to another. The Translator also trains employees in their native language and ensures all work complies with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Translate conversations, meetings, forms, policies, and procedures from one language to another to facilitate understanding and improve safety and production
• Assist HR, QA, and production by training non-English speaking employees on processes, policies, and requirements in their native language; document training as it occurs
• Assist with interviews, new hire orientation, etc., by translating questions, answers, and presentations as needed
• Adhere to safe work practices, policies, and procedures; maintain sanitary conditions to ensure product quality; report any condition or practice that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety
• Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in accurately translating from English to another language and back; multiple languages preferred
• Ability to use Microsoft Office to manage data and create reports
• Detail-oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization through highly effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character
• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Moderate use of hands/fingers to operate computer, keyboard, and mouse
• Ability to walk around facility as needed
• Exposed to cold temperatures (45

• Exposed to noise levels of > 85 decibels
• Work around raw and/or live animal odors
