About This Role

This role involves delivering a quality secretarial service to a Specialty Team within the Acute Services Directorate. It suits a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a desire for personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality audio typing service to ensure the smooth operation of clinical letters within the Acute Services Directorate
• Transcribe letters, using the G2 dictation system
• Manage patient enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner

Requirements

• HNC or SVQ 111 in Secretarial Studies / Business Administration with relevant secretarial/audio typing or relevant experience
• Sound knowledge of office procedures
• Ability to work accurately under pressure
• Ability to work co-operatively within a team
• Mature outlook
• Good organisational skills
• Flexibility in approach to work
• Complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check

Important Details

• Contract: fixed term or secondment opportunity for 1 year to cover substantive post holder's secondment leave
