Training Manager

About This Role

This role involves designing, executing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs across all dealership operations. The Dealership Training Manager will be responsible for onboarding new hires and continuously upskilling sales, service, and administrative teams. The primary objective is to align training strategies with the dealership's financial and operational targets, maximizing sales conversions, increasing technical capabilities, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Regularly audit dealership performance data, customer satisfaction scores (CSI/NPS), and conversion rates to identify critical skill gaps
• Develop and facilitate training modules covering automotive product knowledge, consultative sales techniques, vehicle walk-arounds, CRM utilization, and service advisory processes
• Lead the onboarding architecture for incoming sales consultants and technicians, keeping the dealership compliant with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certification standards
• Listen to dealership phone calls, shadow sales interactions on the showroom floor, and provide direct, constructive feedback to staff
• Oversee the dealership's Learning Management System (LMS), track employee training compliance, and maintain in-house training libraries and resource databases
• Manage the annual dealership training budget
• Compile Monthly Information System (MIS) reports to link completed training metrics to overall dealership performance

Requirements

• MBA/ Diploma/ BE
• Minimum 5 years of retail automotive dealership experience (Sales Management, F&I, or Service Management)
• Deep familiarity working with OEM training platforms, vehicle launch standards, and manufacturer compliance requirements
• Technical literacy
