About This Role
This role involves ensuring the safe and punctual operation of train and shunting movements on signal boxes with simple or complex infrastructure. You will be responsible for conducting necessary checks and precautions, such as route inspections, and managing disruptions to maintain safe train operations. The position suits a detail-oriented individual with strong operational knowledge and the ability to work in shifts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and punctual execution of train and shunting movements, including necessary checks and precautions like route inspections, on signal boxes with simple or complex infrastructure
- Conduct hazard assessments during operational disruptions, communicate with all involved parties, and ensure safe train operations
- Work in compliance with valid regulations, including local provisions, operational orders, and instructions, and document them
- Be responsible for issuing, submitting, transmitting, and documenting operational reports, orders, commands, and timetable notifications
- Operate and monitor assigned control and safety systems as well as telecommunication systems
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a Train Traffic Controller (EiB F or career changer) and active qualification as a Train Traffic Controller with very good knowledge of operational service
- Independent, careful, and solution-oriented working style
- Willingness to work in shifts, alternating shifts, weekends, and public holidays to ensure continuous train operation
- Unrestricted suitability for operational service and psychological aptitude for the role of Train Traffic Controller
- Valid class B driving license and own car
