TOSCA - Quality Engineer

About This Role

This Senior Quality Engineer role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and reviewing payment application functionalities for point-of-sale and self-checkout systems. The engineer ensures end-to-end business flows work as expected after new deployments, considering various hardware combinations, and requires strong experience with automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain, and review payments application functionalities of point of sale and self checkout
• Ensure all end-to-end business flows work as expected after new changes are deployed on POS and SCO with all hardware combinations
• Work on all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, reporting, and regression testing
• Create automation test scripts and share created test scripts with the test lead for review
• Conduct pilot automation test runs to validate test scripts
• Test defects and update their status, if required
• Conduct root cause analysis of logged defects
• Prepare Test Summary Reports and share them for review
• Review test results/test reports submitted by the test analyst
• Participate in defect triages to gather evidence for defect identification on a periodic basis for defect prioritization and fix
• Develop and execute scripts using Selenium with Java, Playwright with Typescript, and TOSCA automation tools, and provide updates to customers
• Understand and analyze requirements (through review of requirement documents) to identify testable requirements
• Prioritize requirements based on the time required
• Review/create the requirement traceability matrix

Requirements

• Strong experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, reporting, and regression testing
• Strong experience with automation testing tools like TOSCA, Playwright, and Selenium
• Good experience working on Jira
• Strong experience on creating automation frameworks using TOSCA, Playwright, and Selenium
• Good exposure to Retail domain including Point of Sale and Infra
• Excellent written and oral communication, quick learner, and ability to work independently without much supervision
• Good exposure to payments applications like Instore, Connex, Qwikcilver, Linkly, Pywin Auto, GitHub Copilot
• Knowledge of test planning, designing, test execution, and defect management activities
• Good experience in End-to-end testing, Functional testing, Manual, and Automation testing
• Strong knowledge in automation tools like TOSCA, Playwright, Selenium, and web service testing - REST & SOAP APIs
• Knowledge of Postman or SOAP UI tool or any other web service testing tool for REST API
