About the role
The hourly wage rate for this position is $17.60. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. The Tim Hortons General Help position is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced food service environment while providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will assist with food and beverage preparation, order taking, cash handling, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining an organized work area in accordance with Tim Hortons and Compass Group Canada standards.
This role requires a positive attitude, strong teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods. The employee is expected to follow all food safety, sanitation, health and safety, and workplace procedures while ensuring customers receive friendly, accurate, and timely service.
Key Job Duties
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and provide prompt service.
- Take customer orders accurately and operate the point-of-sale/cash register system.
- Prepare and serve coffee, beverages, baked goods, sandwiches, and other menu items according to established standards.
- Handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of counters, food preparation areas, dining areas, and equipment.
- Restock food, beverages, condiments, packaging, and other supplies as required.
- Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures.
- Adhere to Compass Group Canada and Tim Hortons health, safety, hygiene, and operational standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Monitor product levels and communicate shortages or operational concerns to the supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Complete other general food service and cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
