About This Role
Installing a variety of flooring and wall tiles across residential, commercial, and restoration projects is the core of this role. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in building material installation, floor refinishing, and restoration industry practices while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute tile installation projects
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or primers for optimal tile adhesion
- Install various types of flooring including ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, epoxy, hardwood, carpet, and other building materials with precision
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and lay tiles according to specifications
- Perform floor refinishing tasks such as buffing and water damage restoration to restore surfaces to their original condition
- Ensure compliance with building installation safety standards during all phases of work
- Assist with related tasks such as drywall installation, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and remodeling projects as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, flooring installation (including tile laying), epoxy floor installation, and related building material work
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols and building installation safety compliance
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans for accurate project execution
- Proficient with hand tools and power tools used in flooring and carpentry work
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently
Nice to have:
- Experience with water damage restoration, floor care techniques, drywall finishing, caulking, cabinet installation, and remodeling
- Construction experience across various industries including restoration or general contracting
